I believe…

AKA: My manifesto

I believe in waking up every morning, feeling like I have something to contribute to the world.
Believing that the song I sing, the words I write, might reach just the one person who needs it.
Knowing that what I have to say has meaning

I believe that everyone is different for a reason.
That each person is blessed with talents that only they can share.
That we all have a duty to ourselves — and to the world — to share the light that’s within us.
That what we bring to the table is desperately needed… to save both ourselves and other people.
Our thoughts matter. Our feelings matter. Our words matter. Our actions matter.
Our
stories matter.

I believe in discovering what it is that makes you come alive. What lights you up.
What gets you so excited that you can’t help but happy dance all over the place.
Where experimentation is a playground you don’t want to (or have to) leave.
In pursuing those dreams that seem like those ever-distant stars.
(They’re not so distant really… You are a star inside.)

I believe in the innate goodness in people through and through,
and that love and acceptance of all people should be over-abundant.
That equality only comes from embracing both our light and our shadows –
seeing everything and everyone for how they are –
and for all the magical glory you embody.

(Yes, you are a magical, loving, creative, and divine soul
living in this very human, very explorative experience

where nothing is perfect, but everything is in it’s beautiful complexity
You were meant to be here, right here, right now,
with everything that brought you to where you are.

Everything has it’s place. You have a place.)
You are loved, and you are love.

I believe in bringing out the very best in people.
Helping every individual to feel included and heard.
Presenting their stories in a way that’s true to them and aligns with what they are here to do.
I believe each of us are connected to each other in an intrinsic way,
and we need those connections to help bring us to life.

I believe that the smallest things can make a positive difference.
That baby steps are better than no steps.
That a simple smile can brighten someone’s day.
That a song can make you feel and embrace a new piece of yourself.
That a show can absorb you so much that you forget you’re just a part of the audience.
That a story can take you away from your troubles even if just for a moment.
That love truly is the answer to everything we only think we don’t know.

I believe in a world where we don’t have to settle for Plan B.
Where we don’t have to be stuck somewhere that doesn’t feed our soul or the souls of those around us.

I believe in a world where Plan A
the core of your true desires, whatever brings you the most joy
is the only option. And you seek that joy, that love, with everything you have.

Every blessing to you! <3
