What Makes The Garden of the World Grow

AKA: Insights from The Secret Garden

Had a strange hit to watch a favorite childhood movie while packing to move house… I try to follow the intuitive hits to watch certain movies in order to receive certain messages; it has always been very enlightening! A couple messages hit quite hard for this one, and I feel compelled to share them with you.

There was a part of the movie I didn’t understand as a kid… The story of a god where, if you looked down his throat, you could see the whole universe.

What I’ve learned to be true is that we are all part of the universe and the universe is part of us. That divine connection is unbelievably present–the energy of everything affects everything. It’s like Colin says in the movie after his father finds him in the garden not long after they “called” him there to find him: The magic worked. And there is truly magic in this world if we open up our eyes to see it.

Because we are all connected… It is through each other that we all come alive.

At the end of the movie, the garden is in full bloom, not forgotten or unwanted anymore, but beautiful, growing and fully awake. Thanks to a couple of curious children longing for more love in their lives–they created it themselves. The garden was always there, but it needed the care to really become alive and beautiful again.

Right now, the earth is in a time of awakening. It takes courage, working with each other, and allowing our truest natures to come forth to make this world brighter. We truly cannot do this alone. We must stand side by side to do what, in our hearts, we know is true. We must act from a place of love, rather than fear or hate.

Even though some people in higher positions in society strive to separate and isolate us from others, and sometimes even in ourselves, it’s our responsibility to stay in our own integrity. To stay within our own truth. To own that universe surrounding and within you. It speaks to you everyday whether you realize it or not.

If you look at it the right way, you’ll see that the whole world is a garden.

Our garden is growing. It may take time for it to fully awaken and bloom… But I believe that day is coming soon. Where all the nastiness from this year will clear the way for the good and beautiful to come pouring through.

You have to pull the weeds to make room for the flowers to grow.

Mary wanted her bit of earth, and she made it grow with help from her friends. She transformed from a sullen, sour child to a lively and loving one. Loving this garden and her friends, creating something beautiful in the process.

Beauty is everywhere. Beauty is within. Beauty likely wants to come out of you in someway, for humans are creative beings by nature–whether or not it’s in the arts. Beauty is a source of love. And love is a divine and powerful energy that holds the universe together.

The more love grows and spreads, the more we can awaken as people–as brothers and sisters–in this world where challenges face us everyday.

Love is always the answer.

How can you create more love in your life? What passions are stirring in you to bring more beauty and light into your life and the lives of others?
